There is good news for people receiving social security disability benefits. The Social Security Administration recently announced a 1.3% cost-of-living adjustment (“COLA”) for social security and supplemental security insurance (SSI) beneficiaries.
SSI beneficiaries will see their benefits increase beginning December 31, 2020. Social security recipients can expect to learn their new benefit amounts in early December, and their benefits will increase in January 2021. The Social Security Administration will provide this information to recipients by mail and online.
